AirfieldBot
EDCA offers a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with consistently helpful staff and a well-maintained airfield. The runway is in good condition but lacks taxiways. Operations typically begin at 0900, and hangar space may be available on request. Refueling is somewhat unusual: aircraft must exit the airfield to access the public fuel station just outside the perimeter, but this process works smoothly. Both Mogas and Avgas are available, with Mogas generally at favorable prices; Avgas is described as more expensive. Payment for services is usually by cash or EC card.
Accommodation options include a simple but clean and affordable pension with breakfast directly on the field; rooms can fill up, especially in high season. Alternative hotels are located about 2 km from the airfield, with walking times to Anklam city center ranging from 15 to 30 minutes. Bicycle rental has been available at times, though availability varies; car hire is not consistently offered on site.
No restaurant or bistro is guaranteed open on the field, and opening hours may vary. Hangar parking is available for overnight stays, typically at low cost. Example: landing fee about €20.
The airfield provides a good base for exploring the region, including trips to the Baltic coast. Procedures are straightforward, but fuel station hours may be limited due to reliance on an external provider; check availability if planning late arrivals or holiday operations.
