Pilot Comments for CYFB
Gunter
Alongside Goose Bay, one of the two usual Canadian endpoints of the NAT route. According to the AIP handling is actually not required but apparently it's really difficult to get airside to landside and back without it. Unfortunately it's expensive: we paid around 300€ including call out fee (what you'll need if you want to depart early). Service was good, though. Avgas has to be purchased in drums of 200 liters but it's cheap: around 250€ per drum.
To me Iqaluit is more appealing than Goose, but that's just my personal feeling.

Frobisher Bay Touchdown Services provides handling at CYFB, with an example service and support fee about 105 CAD. Avgas is available only by full drum (204 liters), with no refund for unused fuel; remaining Avgas can be stored for up to four weeks. Heated hangar space is available from FirstAir at a cost of about 1,000 CAD per night. Contact Frobisher Bay Touchdown Services at 867.979.6226; UNICOM frequency is 123.35.
