Pilot Comments for BGSF
Gunter
Probably the the easiest of the Greenland stops along the NAT route. It is less susceptible to bad weather than Nuuk and the approach isn't as demanding as at Narsarsuaq. Like the other Greenland ADs it's expensive: last time we paid over 170€ for a short fuel stop and Avgas was 4.20€ per liter. Service was quick and friendly again.
AirfieldBot
Service is described as orderly and friendly, with quick handling. Landing and handling fees are about €150. GA parking is typically at the old helipad in front of the hotel. A met office is available, and the runway is long with a LOC approach. Some oxygen adapters may not be available for certain aircraft. The approach over the bay offers scenic views.
